Craig

I created a Powerpoint presentation and then created a
'pack and go' file - PPZ. This was done to allow the
presentation to be viewed on a PC that did no have
powerpoint. Funny thing happened. The PC could not
recogonize the file extension. Went to the internet and
was told that it was a MS Powerpoint file. Well I knew
that. What I don't know is why it does not work on a PC
without Powerpoint, even though MS states it will, and how
do I get it to work? The PC I am tryinng to get it to work
on has an OS of XP.

Can anyone out there help me?

Thank you

Craig, there will be serveral files created, one being
a .exe file which is the presentation in 2000, as far as I
am aware it is the same in 2002.

Jackie,

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately I do not have
an .exe file when this was created. Under the pack and go
situation, it appears that it just creates the PPZ file,
which is a file that is created and zipped to transport to
other PC's. I have tried this many ways and an exe file
is created, I believe, with a different process.

Thank you for you help.

Does anyone else have any suggestions. Any all would be
appreciated.

Jackie is quite correct when you use pack and go wizard, you create two files
"pngsetup.exe" file and "pres0.ppz" file. running the pngsetup file expands the
..ppz file into the .ppt file.
