hello,

I have created several slides with a windows media player object. I have the player linked to their respected files. When I view this in PPT 03 everything works fine.

My problem is I am trying to make this compatable with PPviewer 2003. When I view the slides with the PPviewer the windows mediaplayer controls are grayed out and if I press on the grayed play button all that happens is that it forwards one slide.

I would like to be able to play some movie (wmv) files in the slides using PPviewer2003.

Help,

Preben

Hello,

PowerPoint Viewer 2003 does not support any type of ActiveX controls.

I'm curious as to why you are using the Windows Media Player control when
you are using PowerPoint 2003 and PowerPoint Viewer 2003.

In PowerPoint 2003, any video that plays in Media Player (mplay32.exe) or
Windows Media Player should insert and play in PowerPoint on the same
system simply by using the Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Movie from
File... command (you should not have to use the Windows Media Player
control anymore). Does this not work for you?
