Hi all!

Is there a way to open a presentation in Internet Explorer with
Powerpoint Viewer for an user who don't installed Microsoft Powerpoint
but only the viewer. I don't want to launch Powerpoint Viewer but
open it in web browser.

Thanks

Melanie

Just publish your presentation to a web page, then provide a link. all the
viewer needs is their internet browser.

Thanks for your reply but I don't want to force the user to publish his
presentation to a web page. Too complicated for him. But is there a
way to open powerpoint viewer in IE??

Melanie

Not that I am aware.

I already see this article and it seems that my problem is that "Browse
in same window" was not checked for PPT file types but the problem is
that I can't check it because it is inactive.

Here, the PPTHTML and PPS types have Browse In Same Window grayed out but it's
available for the .PPT file type

If you'd like to collect all the settings (including those in the Edit dialog
available from the dialog we're already talking about) one of us could compare them
with our own computer to see what might need to be changed.

I had the same problem in opening the ppt files in IE. Finally I have decided to save the file as .mht and open in browser.. The layout and rendering is good... :thumb:
