I have created a ppp in PP XP. I created an auto run CD
following to MS instructions on Technet. When reviewing
the presentation, it views the way I want it to. When the
Viewer slower the presentation, the timing is lost. Some
slides move about 10 times faster than what I set the
timing for and some move about 20 times slower then what I
set the timing for. Seems like no one has experience this
problem except me. Most people solutions is to get PP
2003, which isn't an option. Does any one have any
suggestions? PLEASE..

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello Dominic,

* Which PowerPoint Viewer are you using (Viewer 97 or Viewer 2003)?
* Do you observe the same behavior when using the Viewer to run the slide
show from your hard-drive (instead of from the CD)?

I am using the 2003 PowerPoint viewer. I am running the
presentation from the hard drive. After I set the timing
of all animation and slides, I view the presentation with
the "view show" function. It runs perfect. Then I save
changes to a .pps and a ppt file. I then open the
PowerPoint View, browse to file and view. All the timing
is starting from the beginning. I have plenty of CPU, RAM
and HD available, so hardware isn't hindering any thing.
My end product will include the view on the disk. I am
pretty sure it is something in the viewer.
