Let me start by saying that my laptop was rebuilt recently and the changes
have been seen since the rebuild.

When I check out a PowerPoint presentation and edit it, I used to see the
option the CHECK IN within PowerPiont on either a task pane or the File pull
down menu. I no longer see it. What do I need to do so that this is
displayed again?

Thanks,
Barb Reinhardt

You're talking Office/PPT 2007, right?

When your laptop was rebuilt, was one of the enterprise versions of PPT
installed? I believe you need those in order to have the check in capability
from within PPT. Enterprise versions would be Office Ultimate, Office
Professional Plus, or Office Enterprise. You can check your installed
version by hitting the Office button, then PPT Options, then Resources, then
About.

Nope, I'm still using 2003. We haven't deployed 2007 throughout the
enterprise yet. I'm using Microsoft Office Poweroint 2003 (11,5529.5703)
Part of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.

Does that help?

There's another person in the office who sees the checkin options in
PowerPoint. I can check to see what she's using.

Thanks,
Barb Reinhardt

You might do that. You might also need to post to one of the Sharepoint
groups, because I sure don't know the answer! :-)

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx has
an alpha list of groups. I'd probably try sharepoint.general
