I have a document in Powerpoint (XP) and use the Send to Word command. The Powepoint file goes to Word (XP), here is where the problem is. Word creates an Object from the Powerpoint slide. The object has a border around it. Yet I have deleted the border in Powerpoint. Any idea why this border is around the Word object?

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

The Send to Word feature does not include an option for controlling whether
or not the resulting slide images contain a border or not. However, you can
remove the border, after the fact, using the "Borders and Shading" command
within Word (someone in the Word newsgroup might be able to suggest some
Word VBA code to automate this procedure).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions on how the
send to Word feature might be improved (without having to resort to VBA or
add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to
Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
