PowerPoint suport for Captions

Will powerpoint support video that has closed captions?
If so- where should the smi file be located and how do I activate the
captions so they show with the video?
 
This can be done by inserting a Windows Media Player Control (ToolBox) and
setting its properties. The SMI file should be kept with the video file.
