Is there a Powerpoint standalone (not included in a suite, like Openoffice)
alternative?
Thanks

You can install only the portion of OO.o that you need, so install just
Impress. Another alternative (but no compatibility) is
http://www.powerbullet.com. You can also download a time unlimited trial of
Corel Presentations 9 at http://www3.telus.net/jhaugan/presentations/ but
keep in mind that it is at least three versions old. Personally, I use
OO.o, and Impress because of its very high compatibility with MS Office,
which my office uses.

Hope this helps.

You might still be able to get Canon Mediator on foreign sites. It was a
high presentation program offered up for free about three years ago. Like
Power Point on steroids, but completely different interface.

Other people understood very well and answered me as you can read. Anyway,
thank you for your attention.

You're quite welcome. I would like to remind you that not everyone has the
same use for the same programs. In this case, you made no indication what
you wanted the alternative for. While I do use Power Point, I do not use it
for making presentations only viewing. It's so easy to be misunderstood,
when a bit of clarification would have made this much easier. Have a great
day!

Ahhh, well you might have been a bit more specific in your request.

You should re-read the original post.
The original poster is quite specific what he/she want.

I've had some problem with Powerbullet , because of the use of the ActiveX
controls (partially disabled in my system and I've not yet tried to tune
them).
Mediator is OK, even if it saves only in its own format, or I'm not able to
find the way to save in other formats.
Regards.

I did re-read it, and I stand by my original statement...
