PowerPoint Slides

I have several Power Point Presentations. They range from 18 to 65 slides
long. When I copy and paste individual slides to a folder in My Documents, It
registers as a scrap file and is 3,000 plus KB's in size. Is there a way to
move or copy an individual slide to my documents and have it show up as
anything beside a scrap file?
 
You can save a single slide as several graphics types (jpeg, png etc) but if
you want a single .ppt slide the only ways are either to cut and paste a
slide to a blank presentation and save, start with a blank pres and insert
from slides, or delete all but the one slide by shift clicking in slide
sorter view and delete. Obviously with all but especially method 3 use a new
name and make sure you have the original presentation saved

John's given you some good suggestions. Another: if you don't mind getting a
little VBA code on your hands, visit http://skp.mvps.org and prowl around the
VBA section; Shyam's got a nice routine to split a presentation into individual
one-slide PPT files.

Brillo and a little dab of most industrial solvents will remove any remaining
mess from your hands.
