When printing to color, I want the background I'm using on my PowerPoint slide to bleed off the page (no white margins). I've tried setting the margins to exactly 8.5" x 11", but that didn't change the output. I've searched Microsoft's website for an answer to no avail. Am hoping to find an answer here; appreciate any and all assistance - thanks! ~GirafeLady

This is a function of your printer. Most printers do not print all the way
to the edges because of hardware limitations.

What you want to do is print a "full bleed" copy. Search the Internet for
"full bleed printers". You will find that they are quite expensive. A less
expensive option is to buy a paper cutter and simply cut the margins off.

Most printers will not print completely to the edges ... usually they have minimum borders between .05" and .27"

Thanks to all who replied ... I had a sneaking suspicion the culprit was our printers. ~GirafeLady
