powerpoint projectors

I'm sure I saw someone about a year ago who was using somehting like a
dedicated powerpoint projector. It wasn't a laptop or a small pc (i'm pretty
sure) - it seemed to be a black box that had a cdrom and floppy drive and a
remote for changing the slides.

Anyone have information on such a product - Are they available in the UK?

I'm pretty sure I did'nt imagine it

Perhaps it was one of those projectors with a PCMCIA (PC Card) slot?

You copy your presentation to the card as a series of JPEGs (still images).
Then all you need to present is the projector.
