I know this question has been asked hundreds of times! In your opinion what
is your rcommendations for converting and recording PPT presentations to play
on DVD to view on TV and PC. A quick blurb on 1. Learning Curve, 2. Quality,
3. Compatibility, would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Direct to DVD
==========
Some people have reported good results, just by hooking up a home dvd
recorder, and the correct leads.
It certainly sounds like a simple method. I've not seen the results.

Capture a Slideshow
===============
I've used camtasia from techsmith to capture a powerpoint presentation as a
video file, then used nero to burn a DVD. The results, on a fast PC, were
acceptable for my needs. I doubt this method will ever capture over 25fps. I
guess it depends on your needs.

Conversion
==========
I've also tried quite of few of the bits of software that claims to do the
conversion for you, The results range from crashes, to lots of things missed
out in the conversion.

Finally, I'm sure you've read this page... but it's here again

Like TAJ I've had reasonable results with camtasia, I've seen better results
from office fx pro but its not cheap!

As for the "ItmakeDVDfromppt" programs, I've not tried them all but I would
say get a trial and be very sure it does what you want before you part with
your cash
