I'm having a problem with the bullets in the PowerPoint notes section.

For same reason, when I insert a bullet there is NO SPACE between the bullet and the word, they're right next to each other (not white space between them). How can I have PowerPoint automatically insert the white space?

Additionally, when I have a bulleted item... why does the text wrap not indent under the bullet on the second line? Michelle

Michelle,

You're getting there....

View Rulers to turn on the rule

Then you need to adjust the little grey triangle things on the ruler.

The lower triangle thing (looks like a house) adjusts where the text
re-starts after it has wrapped
The upper triangle thing adjusts where the bullet will start (probably best
to leave this on the edge)

Click on your first bullet on the notes section...turn on the bullet from
the toolbar along the top...then start sliding the grey triangle things.

Probably best to zoom in a little. Hold down the CTRL key to finely adjust
those little grey triangle things.

'drew' would be proud

I really appreciate your help... I have a client that I've introduced styles to and they want styles in PowerPoint. I told them we can't really do it the same as we do in Word... however, they said figure out a way! Oh brother, so, I've been researching all day!

Is there anyway... I can reduce the file size when I send the PowerPoint presentation to Word. Sometimes, I have 50 slides with notes. When I send the file to Word... the file size is WAY TOO LARGE (11,231 KB). Typically, we like to keep our files smaller than 5,000-7,000 KB).

Thanks in advance... Michelle

Whoops, great advice; however, I've introduced ANOTHER PROBLEM?! When I slide the ruler trinagle thingie it INDENTS the body text that is NOT bulleted... i.e., second line is indented for body text items. I don't want indents on body text items... is there a way around this? Michelle

Michelle,
I can solve both of your problems. When you send to Word, you can format
your notes however you want (as you know). But, as you point out, sending
the file to Word can make for big Word files. So (to paraphrase a post I
made earlier today....):
When you do the send to Word, use the link option. When you switch to Word,
do an Edit --> Links, select all the links and break them. Now, when you
save your file, it will be much smaller, but you still have the content you
want.

Okay... so if I understand you correctly... I'm sending the file to Word using the [file], [send to], [word] selection in PowerPoint. Then, Word opens with all the PowerPoints and notes... when I select [EDIT] to break the links in Word... the [LINK] option is shaded and I can't break it. Help... I'm getting close but not close enough! Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer. Michelle

Have a look at www.pptools.com where you'll find a demo of our ShapeStyles

You are right, you are very close. When you do the File --> Send to -->
Word, look at the bottom of the window that opens. You will see two radio
buttons. Click the one that says "Link". Now, when you go to Word, Edit -->
Link should be accessible. That should get you the rest of the way there.
