Powerpoint => Normal.dot?

Hello,
Belgium Speaking.

[Sarcasm]I have a very interesting question.[/Sarcasm]
Is there such a thing as a Normal.dot file you would normally find in Word,
but for Powerpoint 2002?

The file would contain all the standard settings.

There's a blank.POT or blank presentation.POT for PPT, which works kind
of like Word's Normal.DOT. You might have to create it, though. See

I'm aware of the 'blank.POT' but does it realy contain ALL the ppt-settings?
I have a feeling that some settings always revert to some default ones
whenever ppt is opened, even if I have personalized it in blank.pot. Am I
mistaken or not???

Blank.pot controls the template PowerPoint uses when you create a new blank
presentation.
If there's no Blank.pot, PowerPoint uses its built-in defaults. If there's
a Blank.pot file available, it uses that instead.

It controls ONLY the types of settings and defaults that can be contained in
a template or presentation and only has an effect when you start a new
presentation based on it or open a presentation that was based on it. And
it only has an effect on document-specific settings.

Application-level settings are controlled by a *.PCB file that stores
menu/toolbar customizations and by a set of registry entries.
