I am a new Mac user, using Powerpoint Mac 2008 for the first time (longtime
ppt user on Windows). The machine is a new MacBook Pro with Mac OSX Snow
Leopard. I do not use the MacBook screen, I run off two external monitors.
Every time I end a slide show, ppt fails and produces an error report. This
happens 100% of the time. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how I can
begin to debug this problem or where I can search? Since I'm using both a
new platform (Mac OSX) and version of the ppt product I'm at a bit of a loss
as to how to proceed on this. Many thanks.

I'm not sure how to help on this, but I would recommend you ask your
question in the Mac PowerPoint group,
microsoft.public.mac.office.powerpoint. Does PowerPoint work when you try to
run it on your built-in screen? I have an older MacBook Pro, and I only use
one external monitor and have no trouble running PowerPoint 2008. I'm also
just in Leopard, not SnowLeopard. Ask in the Mac group. I'll bet someone
there can help you figure it out.
