Did you make sure your computer is meeting the system requirements? Every
computer gets slow, if you work at the lower limits of the memory. Was
there another application running in the background that needs a lot of CPU
capacity, e.g. Outlook downloading mails?

Best regards,
Ute

Hi,

Ute has the answer.

In Aussie lingo we term it "as slow as rolling a drum of molasses up a
hill". Or at least we call it that in Queensland!

40GB HDD

Word and excel dont have any problems, its just powerpoint

forgot....also, i defragment my cpu weekly, run virus scans etc regularly,
use the compress old files feature in xp and clean out my temp files. Also, i
clean my registry with a registry cleaner.

Hmmm, I have no idea? My computer gets slow sometimes, but I know it's an
old machine, so it's no wonder. Maybe one of the other readers here has an
idea?

Best regards,
Ute
