Every time I try to save a PP file I get this message - io error 6 - and I
have to close down. I've tried the updating the registry ideas and it still
keeps happening. I really need to save a PP - can anyone help?

thanks

It's XP so I've tried all three XP ideas on the support.microsoft and none
have worked - although I have managed to unregister my outlook in the proces
and can't find my disk to put the product key in! Joy!

Which version of PPT? If it's 2003, you'll have to substitute the proper key
for the ones listed -- it would be 11.0 instead of 8, 9, or 10.

Oh, geeze. I'm sorry about that. I hate when troubleshooting one problem
causes more problems!

Only other thing I can think to try is a Detect and Repair, but you'll need
your disk for that, too. And I would be surprised if it fixes the problem,
but if you find your disks, it won't hurt to try.

You may also want to download and run Belarc advisor, run it, and keep the
printout somewhere. I do not know if it will show the information you are
requesting on a non-registered product, but it is worth the cost (free) to
try it.
