PowerPoint Installation Check

Hello! I realize this is a technical question, but I have run out of places
to look. Can you either help me or point me towards someone who can?

One of our programs provides us with the ability to launch PowerPoint from
within it. However, when I try to install the option, the program (SongShow
Plus) informs me that PowerPoint 2000 or later must be installed on the
machine before moving forward with the option. We have PowerPoint as part of
an Office 2003 Suite installed and activated. I am working as an
administrator, and have opened PowerPoint prior to attempting. I have also
tried closing PPT prior to attempting the install.

Can you tell me what the SongShow might be looking for? I assume it has
something to do with checking a registry value, but am at a loss for where to
look.

I have posted this in the SongShow forum as well, but have not received a
response...

Thank you for looking at this!

It sounds as though SongShow is looking for a specific PPT version rather than
Version X or higher; the only ones who can tell you for certain are the people
who developed the software, I'm afraid.
