I want to insert a "tick" in a text box with mouse click, then automatically
move to another (selected) slide, by using action settings

Does this need to work in the Viewer or web presentations or just in full-up
PowerPoint?

Hi Roger,

The easiest way to do is to create a text box with an X in it and set a
hyperlink on the X to jump to the other slide. Set your color scheme so that
your hyperlink color matches the background color of the text box (which
makes the X disappear) and your followed hyperlink color as something
different. When someone clicks inside the box, the X shows up and you jump
to the desired slide.

It's a common technique used for PowerPoint Jeopardy games. Echo has a copy
on her web site at: http://www.echosvoice.com/jeopardy.htm
