Hello, all. We posted this to the ASP newsgroup early today, then realized
that was the wrong place. Please forgive the bad etiquette of cross-posting.
Some users on our network are having difficulty opening Powerpoint files via
the Web. We've read the article "In-Place Activation Using Internet Explorer
5 Does Not Work for PowerPoint Slides" at this location:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q290180. We've tried
setting the registry value to 8 and also to 0. No luck. In addtion, we've
tweaked the Folder Options and set the "Browse in same window" to on. Still
no luck.
Our users have Windows 2K, XP Pro, Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0. Thank you;
and again, sorry for the cross-posting.
