Hello,

I am running Powerpoint 97.

I have imported a graphic from Corel Draw 8, into the
powerpoint presentation 97, and the graphic is extremly
blurred. how can I correct this problem or make it more
crisp.

Please advise,

Thanks

Kellie M

Please tell us more about the graphic. What type is it? Have you stretched
it or left it at it's original size?

I have strecteded the picture in PowerPoint XP and the
picture appears to be fine, but when I pulled it into a
powerpoint 97 version the picture has lost it's original
state. The original graphic was saved has a "Corel Draw
Graphic"

Also, is it possible for me to pull in other powerpoint
Templates from other powerpoint templates if so, could you
explain how that is preformed. Thanks

Kellie M

I'm not sure that I understand the PowerPoint 97 part. Did you copy and
paste into PowerPoint 97 or did you insert the original image?

I also don't understand your template question. Can you tell us what you
want to do?

PowerPoint Version 97, From Microsoft Office Suite 97 that
where I got the 97 from. What I did was Copied the Graphic
picture the "Corel Draw Application" into Microsoft Word
and save that copied picture to my picture files. After I
did that I opened the : Microsoft Office 97 PowerPoint
Presentation, then I opened a blank slide and inserted the
graphic picture from my picture file and inserted the
graphic picture, which I needed to make the picture fit
the normal side of the default slide. This is when I
experience the problem with the picture not being clear or
blurred. Now when I have the picture in Microsoft Office
XP I don't experience the problem.

Thanks,

Kellie M

Copying and pasting and stretching is possibly/probably responsible for the
blurriness. There are others who use Corel Draw regularly so I will defer
to them because I don't currently have it installed to test with. However,
as I recall there are other formats that you can directly save your image to
which PowerPoint accepts and then use the Insert > Picture > Picture from
File function in PowerPoint. Also, I would try to size the image correctly
in Draw before saving it, if it is a raster image, rather than stretching it
in PowerPoint.

Calling all Corel Draw users for help! What format should Kellie be using?

I don't understand why all the copy pasting here and there - why not export
from Draw to a WMF then use Insert, Picture, From File to bring that into PPT?
