I've been using PowerPoint 2002 with a Community Access cable channel. I use
it to broadcast various nonprofit and charitable functions, as well as local
college and high school sports schedules on a "Community Bulletin Board."
The show loops 24 hours a day, but after about 4 or 5 days it freezes on one
slide - not always the same one. I can go to the computer running
PowerPoint, press Esc and F5, and it will again run for 4 or 5 days before
freezing again. Can anyone tell me how to keep this from happening?

That's a typical PowerPoint pattern - don't think you can do much about it.

From what I hear, there is a small memory leak in PowerPoint. After a few
days, it fills all the available stack space and the system locks.

You could tell Windows to reboot the entire system at some less-than-usual
viewer time, like 3:10 AM, and then restart your PowerPoint loop. This
would be done by placing a PPS version of your PowerPoint file in the
windows 'start-up' menu . I do not know how rebooting the computer will
affect your cable feed, so you will need to experiment.

As an more difficult alternative, you could create a Macro to stop the
looping show at a certain time every day, and use Windows Scheduler to
restart it a couple of minutes later.
