Hi
I have been trying to get a powerpoint presentation
uploaded to the web. I have converted the file to htm
and have the folder with all the files in it. It will
not upload to the web..... access denied. So I think it
is a server issue. But could it have anything to do with
spaces and long file names? Is there a better way to get
a presentation up on to the web?

How are you trying to upload it now? If at all possible, you should try to stay
away from long filenames and spaces. Windows on allocates a small amount of
memory to hold all this information, and it does not take long to use it up.

How are you uploading it and at what point in the process do you see the access
denied message? You're probably correct that it's a server issue - for
instance, you may not have permission to put files in the target folder.

I'd avoid spaces. They're not permissible under some operating systems.
Moderately long filenames should be ok, say 30 characters or less, but I'd
avoid book chapters as file names. ;-)
