PowerPoint for developing a tutorial format not a presentation fo.

I am in Graduate class and have an assignment to creat a 15 to 20 tutorial
using PPT It cannot be a presentation format and needs to include at least
one style utilized by tutorials ie branching or grading capabilities.
 
Hi,

This is actually an easy task. Many people use PowerPoint as authorware for
Computer Based Training (CBT). First take a look at Taj's tutorials on
interactive menus. Click on Autoshapes in the bottom toolbar to add action
buttons for next, back, home, exit, info, etc. on the Slide Master (see
Echo's tutorial on Masters: http://www.echosvoice.com/multipletemplates.htm).

Finally click on Slide Show, Set Up Show and choose Browsed by Individual
and uncheck the show scrollbar box.

Some blanks need to be filled in, I think.

- minute? slide? page? subject?

PowerPoint's reason for living is creating presentations. It makes
presentation format ... um ... presentations. Is it the right tool for this
job? What exactly do you need to end up with?

It can handle branching within a presentation but since you say "cannot be a
presentation format" I'm not sure whether it'll do what you want or not.

Taj's Tutorial Sorry but I do not understand. COuld you clarify for me. It
appears that this can be done. I left out the slides after 15 to 20.

Also David Marcovitz wrote a wonderful book. I can't say enough about it. It
is titled: Powerful PowerPoint for Educators... Using Visual Basic for
Applications to Make PowerPoint Interactive. He is often a visitor to this
newsgroup. I think this is just what you are looking for. Marge
 
My stuff is probably more than you need for this graduate assignment.
But if you want to use PowerPoint for grading or short-answer questions,
you can't do it without VBA (or something similar). My web site has
