I received a company authored PP presentation that was 83
slides long and 25MB in size. Merely doing a SAVE AS to a
new file name with NO changes results in a file that is
50MB. I am running WINXP SP1 and PP 2002. Any
susggestions?

I got a Woody's Office Watch newsletter last week about a product called
POINTLESS. It's a powerpoint plugin that claims to compress powerpoints up
to 90%. I downloaded and tried their free trial and it worked amazingly
well. I didn't quite get 90%, but I took a 8 MB file down to 700KB - good
enough for me. You can dowload it for free at:
http://www.impactlabs.com/pointless. Hope it helps.

Hi,

same problem with all of our PWP users here. I've tried
POINTLESS but got an error message ("error 13 : type
mimsmatch") when trying to use it under Windows XP...
Do you know about any other poduct ?

Thanks.

Our PPTools Optimizer is one. http://www.pptools.com has more info and a
