Powerpoint error message I/O error 0?

I can no longer open Powerpoint files from the toolbar. (File/Open). Instead
I recieve the error message I/O error 0. I have checked and there is plenty
of space left. How can I get out of this?

Try this perhaps
"An unexpected error occurred" then "I/O Error 6" or "I/O Error 0"
