PowerPoint Error Message A Loading

Hi,

What happens is when I load up Powerpoint, the following message appears:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:.

Why is it asking me to do that? I put in the cd, and nothing happens
(assumed it was asking for something from the cd). When I remove the cd and
load it again, it makes the same error message. Is there a solution to this?

From your question - it sounds to me like there is 'something' in your
presentation - that was originally loaded/inserted/imported from drive D:

Perhaps a picture or a linked spreadsheet or something.

The fix is to remove the picture and insert it again using this method:
Insert menu > picture > from file

and not 'copy and paste' or 'drag and drop'


The other thing it may be... is the office/powerpoint application is broken,
and it's asking for the original installation CD.

I Office off, re-installed it, and now everything words. Its strange though
that the same error message didn't show up again, I guess I did something
during the initial installation as to cause some problems.
