powerpoint crashes

I purchased Office xp standard for a high end new laptop.
PPT crashes when irregularly when I:
try to open multiple files at once
cut and paste slides from one file to another
I get the "send microsoft the error" message.
Any help???

Do you get any other error message? PPT found an error it can't correct,
maybe?

This could also be a video driver issue. Try getting updated ones from
the manufacturer or changing the settings of the existing one (ie,
16-bit instead of 32-bit color, lower resolution, set hardware
accelleration back, etc.) Instrux for hardware acceleration are at
