Powerpoint crashes with Master Slide

Hi,

Our business has a template with master slides set up. We are expected to
use this template for all presentations. When using this master slide set I
cant use animations. I can create the animations but when I try preview them,
Powerpoint 2007 crashes. No error message given. If I dont preview the
animations and try run the slide all animations are not included.

I have tried creating a new template with the same master slide and tried to
create a new master slide using the same pictures, but neither of them work.
In the end I had to copy the pictures out of the master slide and paste them
directly into each slide in my presentation.

Has anyone got any ideas of how I could fix this problem? or suggestions for
workarounds. I would really like to use a master slide instead of having to
copy images to every slide I create.

I am using Windows XP Version 2002 apparently with SP3 and Office 2007 SP2

Hi Chris

So animations work fine if you create a presentation from scratch not based
on the template? If so, maybe round tripping the template will work:
