Powerpoint crashes on SAVEAS

Interesting problem with all Office2k applications. I
cannot SaveAs in any of them, without the following crash
that kicks me out of the application:

"<process has already exited> has generated errors and
will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the
program."

If I start a new document, whether I start the actual app
(Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.) or go through the New
Office Document pop-up, I cannot SAVE or SAVEAS without
getting the above message and crashing the app I am using.

I have tried all Office2k patches and updates, and I've
even uninstalled Office2k, restarted the PC and
reinstalled (without patches, and with patches re-applied).
Using Win2000, SPatched to date, IE6, P4 etc.

Any ideas?

Hi Dean,

Do a file search for any (hidden)files like ~filename.doc
or ~normal.dot and delete them. Those are "leftovers"
from Office Word crashes and might be contributers to your
problem.

Then, try inserting the O2K CD, and when prompted, choose
repair and see if that makes a difference.

HTH,
Glenna
