Hi all,

I installed some Chinese fonts in my PC running on winxp. MS Word and Excel
are able to detect my new fonts but why is it that PowerPoint doesn't?

My MS Office version is 2002.

I would like to use Chinese fonts in PowerPoint. Pls help me out.

After installing some Chinese fonts, I would like to enter Chinese text in
PowerPoint, but my Chinese fonts do not appear in the list of fonts available.

Hi Tommi,
You never tell us how you installed your Chinese fonts. Simply put, having a font on your
hard drive isn't enough - you must also install the font to make it available to your system.

GoTo C:/ click Windows folder > Fonts > File > Install New Fonts.
Click the small down arrow on Drive windows to locate your fonts (example given is from
a CD-Fonts).
Double click the Folders windows at right to open each fonts folder.
Locate on top windows List of fonts available.
Select the require font on upper windows.
Make sure the check mark is there [ |/ ] Copy fonts to Fonts folder.
Click OK.

Open your PPT and check the new font if installed correctly now.

Hopes this help.
Rino

P.S.// If single click wouln't work then uses doubled click -- my system using single clicks.

Yes I've already done all that before I posted my problem.

Many thanks for your valued advice!

I've already enabled support for the Chinese language in Windows.
Surprisingly, my PowerPoint shows 2 fonts as '?????' and '??????' whereas all
my Chinese fonts are displayed in Chinese characters in Word and Excel.

Why is that? I'm confused.
