Hi,

I want to use a Stacked Column chart (which includes 2
data points for each column). There are 3 data series
(WEST, SOUTH, and NORTH). For each data series, I want
to have 2 adjacent columns (right next to each other
without a gap) that will show differences from Time 1 to
Time 2. There will ultimately be 6 columns on the chart,
2 in each data series. Is this possible and if show
how? I am a fairly novice Powerpoint user. I have
Powerpoint Office 2000 and Windows XP.

Thanks for your help.

This is doable.

Set up your data like this:

A B C D E F G H
west 1 west 2 north 1 north 2 south 1 south 2
datapt 1 20.4 27.4 10 30 50 60
datapt 2 30.6 38.6 20 40 70 80

Notice there's no date in columns C and F. Select column C, go to Data
on the menubar, and choose "include column." Repeat for F. This puts in
the gaps between sets.

Then right-click one of the data series, choose Format/Data Series, and
on the options tab, set the Gap to 0. That will butt the columns up
against each other.
