PowerPoint Chart slide- chart disappears

When I use the chart slide layout in Powerpoint 2000
(running on WinXP), I can access the data sheet by double-
clicking to change the data, but when I click back to the
slide (outside the chart border), the chart simply
disappears. It even does it when I close the datasheet
with the "x." This only occurs in one computer lab. We are
trying to figure out if we have a problem with this
install or if there is a glitch in the program...or user
error.
Any body else have this problem?

The chart itself disappears when you close the datasheet, is that
correct?

Bizarre.

I'd probably try reregistering Graph (described at
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00236.htm).

After that, I'd try running a Detect and Repair.

After that, I'd try changing hardware acceleration
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm and probably updating video
drivers.

After that, well, hm...I dunno what after that. :-)
