I find using powerpoint as part of my requirements for the
developers much easier for them to follow. On the current
project, I need to be able to create main sections, which
I have but take it a step further and create sub-sections
beneath the main sections. Example: Creating and
assigning a new task for a project has multiple steps so
logically it would consist of multiple screen layers. I
want to represent each layer in PowerPoint by creating sub-
sections. Can anyone provide guidance????
Thanks.

Patty,

Are you looking to create a menu system in powerpoint

e.g. click here to jump to this section

Or

Are you looking to create some kind of diagram illustrating the fact that
certain steps have sub-sections?

When your viewing the presentation in "normal view",
powerpoint provides a menu on the left side of the
screen. Building your presentation, you insert new
screens as you need them. The problem I'm having is that
instead of the normal structure (menu) it builds going
straight down the page, I'm looking for a way to represent
the screen flows of a particular section. Example: the
first screen might be labled abc but abc has 3 related sub-
screens beneath it. Then you have the next section screen
called def. DEF has 2 related sub-screens beneath it.
Visually screens abc and def should be flush to the left
but the sub-screens should be indented or something to
show they belong to abc or def.
I hope this helps. It seems more difficult to explain
without visuals. Sorry.

Ahhhh ... the old family tree layout thing.

PowerPoint is by nature linear. Only one slide can be shown at a time and
the next one in the presentation is next unless you kink or jump to it.

Why not create the page yourself? Simply export everything to Word and
shuffle the layout to suit.

Just my 2 cents,
B
