Powerpoint can't play the sound file.

Hi

I have installed power point on my pc but when i create a
presentation I get this error:

PowerPoint can't play the sound file <Musica Critical
Stop.wav>. Make sure that this is a .wav audio file and
that audio settings are properly configured for your
system.

I have re-installed my audio drivers and also re-installed
office 2000 but still I have the same error. My audio
plays wave files and mp3 files without any problem.
I have even removed all the registry settings and still no
go.

Please any help will do.

Have you tried the file in the MCI media player? Checked your MCI
settings against those at
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm ? That
tutorial is worth a very careful read.
