I'm new to background loop videos on PowerPoint slides. I'm trying to insert
a text box so I can have words on the background surface. But it appears
that the words are "behind" the slide. How do I insert a text box on a
background loop? I've looked for a "layer" feature to no avail.
Thanks.

Any movie file will play on top of all slide elements.

You should ...
1) Incorporate the text into you movie file
2) Use a slightly smaller movie and leave room for the text beneath
3) Use VBA to place the text into an ActiveX textbox object and reorder
once the movie has started .

2 is the easiest, 1 is pretty simple with Windows Movie Maker or such. 3 is
for the more advanced user/coder types.
