I have linked my webpage to a powerpoint file that has audio linked to it.
The audio plays fine on some computers, but not on others. I can't for the
life of me figure out what is different about the computers that do and do
not play the audio. HELP!
Hi,
Not all inserted sound files in PowerPoint is embedded, sound files in
wav format larger than 100 KB (i.e. anything but a short sound effect)
and other sound file formats are linked to PowerPoint presentation,
they are saved on your local disk. The difference between linked and
embedded, please view:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA010348231033.aspx
If you want to let the sound files play normally on different
computers, please do as following:
1. Put the sound files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same
folder.
2. Reinsert these files to PowerPoint presentation. After you do this
work, send the folder to other computers. Then the sound files can be
shown.
Alternatively, you could embed the music by converting your
presentation to Flash. PPT2Flash (
http://snipurl.com/ppt-swf),
PowerFlashPoint(
http://www.digitalofficepro.com/powerpoint/Power-flash-
point-converter.html) and Sppechi.
