When I receive powerpoints as an attachment to emails, clicking on the
attachment geneates a security warning about trustworthy sources etc. and
when I select OK it launches Power Point Viewer to open the file but the text
in the presentation is not displayed. If I right click on the attachment and
select Preview, the file does open and show the text but I can't save this
view. Any ideas.

Do you have the full version of PowerPoint on your system?

What happens if you save the file to your desktop, and then open it with
PowerPoint? Do you get the same results? Have you installed SP1 for 2007?

Yes, I have the full (2007) version in MS Office Pro

Yes, same result. Interestingly, when I chhose Save As to save it anywhere,
the file type drop down for the saved file lists only All Files - nothing
else. And yes I have SP1 for 2007.

Your not on a network by chance? You can tell, I'm groping right now.

No network. This one has me stumped too. Guess I will have to keep
experimenting.

Thanks for your efforts anyway.

You could try uninstalling Office 2007, and reinstalling it again
