Hello.

I have a really annoying problem where when I import a presentation my
animations are not working.

The options to ignore animations on import is unchecked.
I can see the stars in the play bar for when the animations are due to work.
When I do a narrate with slides I even see the next effect button....

BUT..

All my animated objects appear imediately after the slide is presented. And
so the animations don't happen because the objects are already visible.

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm tearing my hair out.

I'm on office 2003 SP2.

Thank you.

Orlando.

How are these animations configured ? To proceed on a click or space bar?

Have you gone through the "synchronize" process that is used to pick the
animation points (the points where a click or space would move to the next
animation)?

Hello. Thank you for replying.

I never knew I could configure my custom animation to use anything but
clicks.

Re. the synchronise process. I have used both the "Slide Show And Record
Timings" within PP and the capture audio narration of slides. In both cases
the small blue stars appear in the correct places in the timeline. But all
the objects I am animating on the screen appear as soon as the slide
appears. So, it ignores all my entries to move the the next effect.

Thanks.

I have always done my synchronization within Producer after the slides and
audio/video was imported. It has worked without incident (though it is
annoying that there is no way to edit points within the slide).

It sounds like the synchronize points were transferred correctly (if the
blue stars are in the correct position) -- so I am not sure what is causing
your problem. If you make a pack and go version of your production
somewhere available for download and send me the url(briansullivan at
coursesbywire.com) I will have a look to see if I can spot any issue.

That is very kind of you.

But I think I should leave it there. Sounds like something particular to me.

I will just have to live without animations.

Thank you anyway.

Orlando.
