The New Guy

I tried putting in video clips for a presentation (all
the clips were in wmv format). The video played fine, but
i can't hear any audio. I can play it in Windows Media
Player just fine. And yes, my speakers work fine. How do
I solve this?

.I use Microsoft Powerpoint XP

Try lowering Hardware acceleration. Also update DirectX if you don't have
version 9.0b. You can tell what version you have by going to Start > Run
and typing dxdiag.

Didn't work. By the way, i have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro,
Pent. 4 2.6 GHZ, the latest version of Windows Media
Player, WINXP, and a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Sound Card. Hope that information makes things easier.

I mis-read your original post and for some reason thought the problem was
with the video. There is a new driver available for your sound card. I
would start by installing it. See http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/
and enter your product. The driver is dated 3/29/04.
