PowerPoint 97 - Title Master issues

When I start working on a new presentation, I always go to
the Master to set up the slide, etc. for some reason,
my "title Master" option is not activated and I can't use
this device. Any idea how to turn it on?

Not all templates include a title master.

You can add one to your presentation easily, though:

Choose View, Master, Slide Master
In Slide Master view, choose Insert, Title Master.

Now you have a title master to work with.
