How do you embed a sound file to play, either all the way or just a small
part, in PowerPoint 2007?

Look under Quick Fix for Wav and MP3.

Take note that for PPT 2007, instead of clicking Tools > Options, click on
the Office button > PowerPoint Options > Advanced > Save.
