Powerpoint 2007 - Slides not formatted correctly

Can anyone help with an issue with Powerpoint 2007 concerning the formatting
of slides?

When I insert a slide from an earlier version of a powerpoint file that has
been formatted by a different
master slide to my own it brings in all of the text but disregards my part
of my master slides formatting.
The headers and footers from my master slide do not appear on the imported
slide. Is there a way to correct this?

If you reapply the slide layout, does that fix it?

Hi

Footers work differently in 2007 to what you may have used in 2003

On the master you can set the position and formatting.

Text is set in Insert > Header and Footers
(apply to all) if needed)
