After about 15 minutes, the slide show reverts back to the powerpoint
'working' screen and I have to hit f5 to restart the show. Is there a way to
change the timing so that the show does not stop?

No, sometimes the slides are being advanced, sometimes on the screen for a
few minutes. It kicks out of the slideshow on its own every 15 to 20
minutes...very annoying!

Does this happen on the same slide every time?

Hm.

I would run Office diagnostics. It's on Office button | PPT Options |
Resources.

I'd also make sure my video driver is up-to-date and see if changing
hardware acceleration helps:

also have a look at every piece of software working in the background; maybe
one of them tries to have an internet connection every 15 minutes or is
doing something else disturbing.
