powerpoint 2007 keeps blanking out the page I type in

I have a problem with the new PowerPoint (2207 Beta TR):

When I add text to a new or existing page, Powerpoint keeps blanking the
page. I can get the content of the page back by using the page-up/page-down
keys.
I am not sure if this is a genuine PowerPoint bug or an incompatibility
issue. I run Windows XP SP2 with the latest updates and patches installed on
a brand-new DELL Latitude D620 laptop.
Has anyone experienced this problem as well?

I am running Windows Vista Build 5600, with Office 2007 Beta 2. When adding
a text box I sometimes also experience a slight blanking of the page - not
always the full page, but sometimes just the top few layers (eg. If I have
some objects stacked up on top of one another). I always thought it was that
Vista just ran slowly on my computer (the computer I experience it on is an
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ with 736MB of RAM), but now that another person has
reported the same thing I am beginning to wonder. If it happens on your
computer, I'd be leaning towards it being a bug rather than an
incompatibility issue with Windows XP, since it happens on Vista as well.

It has never really bothered me, but I thought I'd just tell you that I am
also experiencing the problem. It is strange that this is occurring on your
brand new Dell, because I thought the problem always had something to do with
my computer's slow speed.

Check your graphics card driver. Maybe there is a newer version?
Also, reduce your hardware acceleration by two notches: Control Panel,
Display Properties, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot. It sounds strange
to reduce it if you have a high-end graphics card, but believe me, it
works :)
