Hi,

I think I know what the problem is. The sound file isn't integrated in
your presentation. The sound file size may be too too big for the
default value.
Click on the sound icon in your presentation.
Look under the Sound Tools tab.
There should be an option called "Max Sound File Size (KB)" to
determine the maximum file size for the sound so that it is
automaticly included inthe presentation. That default value is too
smal for your sound file.
Increase it to 10000 KB. That's 10 MB. Any bigger and it wouldn't pass
through any e-mail. Try with that value and resave your presentation.
If you don't mind not sending it, you can increase it again.

Hope this works

I find this report incomprehensible.

For example, you say "working correctly" and "nothing" as the contrasting situations. What
does "nothing" mean? "No sound"? That's what the title suggests but the body never
mentions this.

PowerPoint has a truly stupid notion of how sound files are integrated, and this
disastrous bug was not fixed in PPT 2007 (it was felt that it was more important to
destroy the usability of the GUI, introduce entirely new bugs, break existing
functionality, but FIXING it? Not on the table) It HARDWIRES the path to the sound file
(which nobody in their right mind could EVER have thought made sense). You have not
specified what it means to "download it on a CD or a flash drive" (for example, did you
use File>Create CD or just copy the files?).

If you want help, you have to (a) ask a question without using vague terms like "nothing"
as a problem description (b) describe EXACTLY what you did instead of using vague terms
like "download".

Other than pointing out the fundamental deficiencies in the PowerPoint design (and the
failure after many years to actually FIX these), I have no answers.

I also suggest that you learn to use lower case in typing. Or are you using Windows from
a Model 33 Teletype?

Does that mean you do know how to make it work? I have the same question but mine was more specific. Could you help me with my problem? http://www.eggheadcafe.com/communit...gound-of-my-power-point-but-it-wont-play.aspx
