PowerPoint 2007 cannot see slides in notes view

I tried viewing the notes page in several different presentations, in the
normal view everything looks OK but when I switch to the notes view all I
see for the slide (the upper half of my notes page) is a blank square. What
the heck am I doing wrong?

I am having the same problem and this fix certainly works - my poblem is I
have 12 presentations each with this problem and each with 50 or so slides -
does anyone know of away not to have to do this 600 times?
