Powerpoint 2007 bug: add clipart, exit, does not prompt for save

Open an existing slide in Powerpoint. Do NOTHING but add clipart. Hit
red X to exit app. Does NOT prompt for save, and change to slide is
not saved.

So far have only had this issue with adding clipart to a slide.
Has anyone else seen this? Is there a bug fix available?

Seeing in PP2007 with SP1 and SP2.

Hmmm, I just tried to repro and was prompted to save.
- open PPT 2007 (SP2)
- INSERT >> INSERT CLIPART
- Added a generic (vector) clipart from MS offering
- Click 'x' to close PPT
- Prompted to save changes

Question: what OS are you running and is it 32 or 64-bit?

Try editing an existing slide. It may be that when you Open, PP
recognizes that. Here's exactly what I did:
1) open PP
2) Set slide layout to Blank
3) Save & close
4) Open that slide/presentation again
5) Insert - Clipart
6) Choose clipart from right-side window, drag to slide (or click on
slide)
7) Red X to exit

Seeing on 32-bit and 64-bit machines

I think the key is dragging the clip to the slide.

I can repro when I do that.

If I just click on the clip (which is the way I've always known to add
clipart from the pane to the slide), I'm prompted to save.

Agreed. If I click to add the clipart, it prompts for save. If I drag
it on, it does not.
Thanks for the clarification.

I can reproduce exactly what you are seeing, drag it on and no save prompt,
insert and get the save prompt. Ensure that everyone inserts and not drag
to ensure the save prompt. Looks like a bug but it was there in PPT 2003
also as I just tested it.
