I am working on a support case with a client. She has been working in
PowerPoint 2007 with PPT file we built that goes along with a facilitation
system we sell. In the PPT file we’ve inserted WVM movies files using
relative paths. When she attempts to preview the movie the pop-up message
“Windows Media Player cannot fine the file†comes up. Typically this message
means the user has saved the PPT file in location that doesn’t match up with
the relative movie paths, but I’ve double and triple checked this; she has
saved the file in the correct location. What’s even more baffling, I
installed PowerPoint Viewer 2003 on her computer, opened the same PPT file,
and everything works perfectly. Is there something I’m missing, possibly a
setting? Why would PowerPoint 2007 not work but PowerPoint Viewer 2003 using
the same file, same computer?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
