I see a word "Video" in your post. Are you trying to run a video from
within PPT. If so, have you copied the video file to the PPT 2000 computer
and is it in exactly the same file structure that was used to create it.
This is a limitation on earlier versions of PPT in that the video needed to
be in the same file structure as when it was created. That is why when I
create a PPT presentation, I always create it in a named folder on the Root
of the C: drive and keep my file/folder structure for the presentation
totally within that folder in the Root.
In other words I create this structure and move all pertinent video or
graphic images into the folders before I insert them into a PPT
presentation:
C:\
C:\PRESENT - This is where I save the PowerPoint main file and the .PPT file
is the only file present here.
C:\PRESENT\PHOTOS - any still images
C:\PRESENT\VIDEO - any video
C:\PRESENT\SOUND - any music or voice overs
C:\PRESENT\TEXT - prewritten text that I copy into text boxes
When I transfer the file to another computer's C: drive I also transfer all
the subfolders as well. That way I almost never have any issues when I have
to take my presentation on the road.
What file format is the video in since this may also have a bearing on what
your issue is?
